This is a Violin Labeled MEDIO FINO made in France J.T.L. – Early 1900′s Comes with only what is seen in the pics no extras. Everything I know of the violin is listed below: 1. This violin is made in France, 2. It has a two piece back with a spruce top. 3. maple back and sides and neck 4. has a bridge and 4 fine tuners and a tailpiece hanger in good condition 5. 4 tuning pegs 6. has a chin rest in good condition 7. Being and old violin it has some dings and nicks and scratches and shows some age cosmetically, it doesn’t look to me to have any cracks forming on the front of the violin, there are some places on the back and side that may be scratches or stress marks or faint cracks, hard to tell, some are very faint and does not seem to be pulling apart, there is a place on the back of the violin just under the middle seam that looks like a crack, it is not pulling apart and it seems to be held together tightly, its hard to tell the condition of these stress cracks, and I can not make any promises on their condition, its an old violin and they may be only in the finish. If stress cracks are an issue this violin may not be for you, please see pics to form your own opinion. 8. The case is Free — an Antique Bulls Head case, all latches work and the handle has been replaced with a strap some time in the past, works well and will protect the instrument !!( please see all pics for details ) The violin looks to be in good condition, the strings look to be good however being an older set they may soon need to be replaced.
