Power Cord Some call it the Flower Pot, some call it the Lamp Shade whatever you prefer, here we have a beautiful 800MHz iMac G4 Flat Panel with a brand new 256GB SSD and 1GB of RAM. This is the fastest G4 iMac that will dual boot into OS 9 and OS X. This is one of the fastest OS 9 machines you can get. If you are an OS 9 fan, this is the machine for you. I have painstakingly tried to make a cool time capsule with a lot of the software and games that you would want to play from that late 90s early 2000s era. The ram is maxed out for this model year. The hard drive has been replaced with a new 256GB SSD drive replacing the original 60GB drive. With the addition of the SSD conversion the machine runs super fast, lightning quick, much quicker than with the traditional harddrive and almost completely silent! Even with all of the software that has been installed you still have over a 100GB of space to store all of your old home videos, mp3s, and photos! The machine dual boots into OS 9 andd OS X 10.4 with OS 9 Classic Support, loads Windows 98 and plays Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega games! This unit has the superdrive which plays DVD and burns CDs. It has been tested and works great. Great for playing those old DVDs. The Apple Pro Speakers by Harman Kardon sound amazing! They are in excellent condition and really add the to full experience of this iMac. The screen is perfect and operates with millions of colors with a resolution of 1024 x 768. I took screenshots of some of the popular titles to show you them working on the unit. There are many more games included than what are pictured so please read the list at the bottom of the listing. I have installed lots of software which I will list below and stored all the disc images on the hard drive so you don’t need to insert the CDs for the software to work. I have included an easy to understand user manual with pictures that explains how to operate the machine and run all of the software that is included. Included is a full back up of the system drive on a seperate partition with all of the applications that have been installed. Should anything happen, you can be assured that you will be able to restore the system back to the way it was when it was delivered. I am more than happy to help if you run into any problems. The Logitech F310 gamepad drivers have been installed and ready to use, it is a top notch modern gamepad that works wonderfully with vintage Macs, Windows 98, Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega. Late 90s early 00s computer gaming was predominatley designed for the keyboard but some games are much easier to play with the gamepad. The machine has multiple excellent word processing applications and you can easily transport documents from the iBook to any modern machine with a standard USB thumb drive and even google drive can open the document files! This iMac even connects to the internet through the ethernet port and the airport wi-fi card which is included! (but you will need to setup your router to work with the older technology, please contact me if you are interested.) I have programmed Netscape Navigator to connect to PROTOWEB which is a vintage webserver that hosts 1000s of vintage websites that completely recreates the experience of surfing the web in the 90s and early 00s.The best part is that you can use Internet Explorer to go to www.macintoshrepository.org and download whatever additional software you would like! It’s really fun! This machine is capable of video editing with iMovie if you are looking to make some authentic vintage home movies. The firewire port is quite fast even by todays standards. Some music has been loaded into itunes to get you started with tons of space for more. Artists include: Beatles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Jimmy Buffet, and Duran Duran. I made this to rekindle that feeling of vintage computing and I am constantly adding new software to the machine so I will update the listing as time goes on.
