Vintage CAPODIMONTE HAND PAINTED PIERCED PORCELAIN Table Lamp Italy CHERUBS THIS IS A SPECTACULAR LAMP! So many super luxe details to this beautiful piece:Handmade, hand painted fine porcelain with slightly dimensional detailing.Gold gilt ornamentation lavishly applied. No rubbing or fading to gold or to very rich paint colors. Lamp looks magnificent from all angles: front and back side feature 2 completely different tableaus of cherubs/putti, They are under a large tree and appear to be re-enacting Tree Of Life or Adam & Eve scenarios. Very charming. Opposite 2 sides have wonderful reticulated pierced porcelain with swoops, scrolls, and foliage- drenched in gold gilt Such an elegant shape to the lamp. Resembles a large and graceful urn on a pedestal base, with wreaths of foliage and bows highlighting top and bottomCenter of urn towards base has 4 beautiful multi colored swags of foliage & flowers, held up with 4 yellow and gold bowsMolded leaf border at basePorcelain urn base sits atop a 2 -level pierced brass base covered in molded leaves. Excellent condition, works perfectly. Genuine vintage 1950s elegance! No nicks chips cracks crazing fading or repair. One of the 4 cherubs has 2 tiny skips where glaze is not present on its hair- almost impossible to notice, super minor, could be touched up instantly. Pierced brass base has 3 small spots all in one area where the brass has greyed in color- minor- see last pic. Please read full description for size measurements and details. A magnificent lamp. Highly collectible. Comes w original harp and original very ornate finial. Has original cord which works perfectly and is undamaged. Large isze: 35″ tall to tip of finial, lamp is 20″ high from base to neck of socket. Round base is 8.25″ diameter. Original brass harp included, along with original extremely ornate and very lovely finial which matches the style of the lamp perfectly.Original 71″ Cord, off-white with 2 prong style plug. Cord is not brittle, cracked, and is not in need of changing unless the buyer so chooses.Has a round of furniture felt covering underside, to protect table surfaces.
